Our Core Initiatives
Empowering change for a brighter tomorrow
$20/HR MINIMUM WAGE THAT RISES WITH INFLATION:
Ensures phased-in annual wage increases to bring workers in the South Sound up to the same pay standard that most workers in King County already enjoy.
OPPORTUNITY TO WORK ENOUGH HOURS FOR A LIVABLE PAYCHECK:
Ensures that existing part-time employees have a chance to pick up newly available hours before their employer hires additional staff.
PREDICTABLE SCHEDULES THAT OUR FAMILIES CAN COUNT ON:
Ensures work schedules at least two weeks in advance, pay for on-call or canceled shifts, the right to decline extra hours added with short notice, and estimated weekly hours.
SAFE WORKPLACES THROUGH TRAINING AND FULL STAFFING:
Ensure the safety needs of workers and customers are put first by requiring adequate staffing to prevent injuries and violence, alongside improved safety training and emergency planning.

We know big business will leverage their political power to block our Workers’ Bill of Rights so they can keep making super-profits off our backs. That’s why it’s so important that we begin organizing our volunteer-driven movement and grassroots fundraising efforts today.
